“Eventually I reached a point after several years of trying to manage my own life, I turned it over … I have let Him lead the way and I have no reason to look back or worry about what’s ahead.”

My name is Barbara and I am a mother of four and a gramma of two. I am an auntie, cousin, daughter, sister, niece and friend because of what I have allowed God to do in my life. Fifteen years ago, I was bankrupt in every way and addicted to alcohol and drugs. Eventually I reached a point after several years of trying to manage my own life, I turned it over. I gave my life, my moments, my days and everything in between to God. I have let Him lead the way and I have no reason to look back or worry about what’s ahead. He has a plan laid out, ready for me; I just need to follow Him. There are times in my life when I want to lead, but I have a great reminder of what happens when I do, and so I let Him lead. I treat every day as a gift and I am forever grateful for what God has blessed me with. I have an amazing family, and a world I could not have dreamed of 16 years ago. The greatest is the peace that I experience, knowing I am His.
